Book Review: ‘The Peacekeeper’s Photograph’ by M. L. Doyle

A great mystery, thriller read…

The Peacekeepers Photograph, M. L. Doyle

Having finally finished The Peacekeeper’s Photograph let me just state that it was an excellent read. The storyline was both believable and compelling, the characters were easy to identify and empathize with, and the writing was impeccable.

The Peacekeeper’s Photograph starts out with the discovery of a brutal murder. Master Sergeant Lauren Harper, stationed in Bosnia, returns to her trailer at the end of her shift wanting nothing more than to relax and remove the grime from the day. Instead she discovers her bunkmate, the soldier who was her responsibility, lying dead on her cot.

Gathering her wits about her, Harper calls this find in and waits for the appropriate military officials and personnel to arrive. Little does she know that she is about to become the prime suspect. What follows in The Peacekeeper’s Photograph is a fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat journey to discover the truth while the reader hopes that Master Sergeant Lauren Harper can find the necessary information, and proof, to prove her innocence.

In summary, The Peacekeeper’s Photograph is an interesting, believable, well-written, five star read. It is also a ‘must read’ for anyone who enjoys reading murder mysteries, intrigue, or military genres. The Peacekeeper’s Photograph is also a great title for anyone simply seeking to kick back and relax with a fantastic book. And finally, author, M. L. Doyle, has been kind enough to include an excerpt from her next installment: The Sapper’s Plot that can be found at the end of The Peacekeeper’s Photograph. Of course, I’m very much looking forward to reading that title as well.
